Oct 2022 was hectic! I finally achieved a property settlement to keep our home, my daughter left for a 3 mth trip to France and our town of Murchison flooded. It just rained and rained. A shearing shed on our property was inundated with water, boards falling off, timber flooring buckled and large sink holes had formed under the shearers quarters. It was a mess. Flood affected friends came to stay in my home so it was the perfect time to camp out in the shed and get to work…With the help of my tradies, friends and a few months of hard yakka the shearing shed was transformed. In March 2023 Smith x Willow BnB and bush events opened. Since then our little shed has hosted an autumn wedding, a bush Christmas, New Year’s Eve party, musos for a music video, international travellers, destinationgoulburn valley tourism videos, and numerous families, friends, work mates and couples getting away from it all for a BnB bush stay.
