In today's edition of Weird Racing Shit I Own is a relic from NASCAR's attempt at a Saturday morning cartoon aptly titled NASCAR Racers. It took a futuristic spin on the series and featured cars with all kinds of goofy shit like rockets, grappling hooks, and cannons which turned every race into something out of Twisted Metal. This one turns into a fighter jet because it's driver Flyer was a fighter pilot with PTSD (its actually a major plot point and honestly it gets kind of edgy and borderline inappropriate for a kids show lmao). The show itself was total garbage but that's exactly why I love it. Anyways, since this was a kids show they had a toy line and also a tie-in at the 1999 season finale at Homestead Miami where four cars were repainted to resemble the ones from the show. @kennywallace36 drove Flyer's car that race and I so happen to have the diecast of his car from that race and the cartoon car too. Only now did I put them together side by side.
