Another late night post coming at you this evening. 😊 Today we’ve ventured north to Crawford Notch, New Hampshire, on the door step Mount Washington. This is Silver Cascade, a giant flume waterfall that shoots down a narrow slot carved into the side of a mountain ridge in White Mountain National Forest. New Hampshire’s White Mountains have many flumes that are fun to hike up and extremely photogenic, especially in the fall. The water is always clear and cold! This photo was taken on September 24, 2022. The more northern latitude in combination with the higher elevation helps to explain why color is starting to pop up well before October. SOLD Sometimes old glass just doesn’t want to be photographed! This is a really cool 1900s print of the flume in upstate New Hampshire, and a perfect example of the backside being as good - if not better! - than the front.
