A few months after Elvis came to live with Debbie, Eagle ended up in a bad situation, so Debbie rescued him with the intent to foster him until she could find him a good home. A little before and after with the gorgeous Shelby and her mares Nancy and Amora 😍 I try to get a lot of things right in camera. One of my favorite parts of every session is giving a few "sneak peeks" at the back of my camera. Clients are always so excited to see just how amazing they look with ZERO EDITING. I don't do a ton of photoshop on my portrait images - I want you to walk away from a session feeling like you are beautiful and look amazing exactly as you are! So don't let the insecurities get in the way of you having beautiful photos. I had THE BEST time shooting a branding session for @goldhorsemedia media yesterday. I shot these photos of Lauren and Buddy last weekend, not knowing how the week would conclude. My job as a photographer is to set the scene for a pretty picture and then get out of the way so what's already there can shine through. Having a photogenic subject like Buddy is always a plus, but what stood out to me was their relationship--one that's clearly based on mutual affection and quiet partnership. I sent Lauren a sneak peek of an edit a few days later, and she shared with me that Buddy was to be laid to rest this past Friday. I'm all the more honored to have met both of them and created these photos for them to help preserve his memory. Give your animals some extra love today, they always deserve it.
