Today is 'Olekukahi in the Hawaiian Lunar Cycle. It's part of 4 consecutive days of 'Ole which happens to mean "unproductive". Later in the month there are another 3 days of 'Ole. I like to think of both sets of days as long weekends. Today is also Safety Orange Day at AIDS/LifeCycle! Oh man, I wish I was there!! Alas, I'm here in Hawai'i cheering for everyone from afar. Together, my friends and I raised $4K through AIDS/LifeCycle. I'll send another round of gratitude messages today to all of my amazing Donors. The grand total raised by evvvveryone at the Ride this year is $17,783,136!!! 😮🤯🥰 Those funds empower social workers, nurses, advocates, navigators and many many many others to be of service to communities hardest hit by HIV/AIDS. Ole Kukahi Moon is a good time for cultivation and irrigation of plants and the shrubs that are cut back at this time will grow back slower. . Unproductive fishing also not a good time for making big decisions. . Take a breather and step back to look at your garden life and make improvements.
