26 years ago today, I arrived in NYC...and I finally felt at home...❤️ But this year, this anniversary is a bit different… Today I have officially lived most of my life in the United States, instead of the country I was born in… I’ve became an American quite a few years ago…but today if felt like an extra stamp of approval… Since I was a little girl I had this calling for the US, I remember being 4 years old and going to bed, making stories in my head about how one day I was going to be an actress and live in NY, hoping that I was going to dream about it all night... My best friend used to say to me “You were born in the wrong country”...he was right... 26 years ago I had a chance to come to NYC with a theater group…I took it and never looked back… I didn’t know anybody, I spoke some English, I didn’t ‘know’ the city...but somehow I was home... I was completely alone...nobody knew me, my name, my story...I was just another person walking those busy streets and never I felt so at ease...In those years I saw and lived a lot of life...I was accepted at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, I directed, acted and produced plays, film and tv shows, I opened my acting studio and I got so lucky to teach to some incredible people who I now call friends, I got married and divorced, I fell in love and broke my heart, I reinvented myself constantly to stay afloat when the waves were coming crushing down, I saw the towers crumbling down in front of my eyes and felt that pain coming from the center of the asphalt straight to my heart, I watched NY on her knees that day and I watched ‘her’ get up with her head held up high the day after and standing strong and God was I proud to be there... I look at that girl in those pictures and I wish I could hug her and warn her for some of the things she will have to go through...there are many things I wish I could’ve done differently in my life...but coming to NY was the best decision I ever made... I will be back…and I know she will be there to welcome me… But She is in me…I wasn’t born there…but I was made in that city. #MadeInNY

Black can also be a happy color, right? It’s funny, I love bright beautiful colors. Both to look at and to photograph, but there is something about neutrals in my wardrobe that I just can’t get away from. For me simplicity is key, and if I can have a few statement pieces that I can switch around to mix and match I’m a happy girl. Chances are at weddings I’ll be in all black and sometimes I’ll include some white in there as well LOL. The colors come in form of my headbands 😃!
