✨ “I come because I love being part of this community...” M, Iran✨ 🎉On 29th March (Good Friday) we had a wonderful Easter/Nowruz celebration with around 55 guests, including children, in attendance. Our evening was filled with the warmth of community, delicious Persian cuisine, traditional music and dancing and a historical overview of Nowruz, intertwined with the message of hope that is only to be found through our resurrected Saviour. Nestorius, the one time Archbishop of Constantinople, is long remembered as one of the great heresiarchs of the ancient church. His declaration that Mary was the "Christotokos" and not "Theotokos" would come to help define orthodoxy for century. It would also find him de-throne and exiled for the remainder of his life. Because of his heretical standing, his written works have been largely forgotten to history. While the origins of the church in Persia go back to the apostolic age, some of its earliest dealings remains cloaked in mystery. By the 5th century it was able to organize itself as the 'Church of the East', and assert its own episcopal and ecclesiastical discipline. However, the exact moment of its autonomy from the Church in the Roman Empire is in poorly defined, as there is no single document which accounts for this division. پطرس یا شمعون به همراه برادرش آندریاس از حواریون مسیح و پطرس اولین پاپ کلیسای کاتولیک روم بود که به عنوان قدیس شناخته شده و در میان مذاهب ارتدکس نیز محترم است. پدر پطرس، یونا نام داشت پس از تولد پسرش (پطرس) نام او را سیمون گذاشت و توسط یهودیان به نام شمعون خوانده می شد. بر اساس روایات عیسی نام شمعون را به پطرس تغییر داد. پطرس به معنی صخره هست. بر اساس انجیل متی، پطرس اولین حواری بود که عیسی را «مسیح، فرزند خدای زنده نامید، عیسی او را ستود و به او گفت من بر روی این صخره کلیسای خود را بنا میکنم و قدرتهای جهنم هرگز قادر به نابودی آن نخواهند بود. من کلیدهای ملکوت خدا را در اختیار تو پطرس) میگذارم تا هر دری را بر روی زمین بگشایی در آسمان نیز گشوده شود و هردری را بر روی زمین ببندی در آسمان بسته شود.» بر اساس این روایت کلیسای رم خود را » جانشین پطرس و وارث کلید بهشتی میدانند. هر چهار انجیل (انجیل مرقس، انجیل لوقا، علی الخصوص انجیل متی و انجیل یوحنا) به مقام پطرس بین شاگردان مسیح تاکید کرده اند. پطرس را نویسندۀ دو رساله (رسالۀ اول پطرس و رسالۀ دوم پطرس) از مجموعۀ کتب/رساله های موجود در بخش عهدجدید از کتاب مقدس مسیحی دانسته اند. #حواریون #نوکیشان_مسیحی #عیسی_مسیح #مسیحیت #iranianchurch #persianchurch #iranianchristianchurch
