Got some hours on the NC today. Used my favourite thing too the oil drain sooo clean and easy love it. Unboxed my triple pass thicker core rad out. Plus a beast and I mean beast of a fan upgrade this beast is like 600w of pure air movements!!!! Had to trim it and make some brackets (used titanium to make the brackets as had some left over from fixing a M3 backbox, and it's bling) 😂😂 Done the new turbo water lines too. On the home stretch now with the old girl Rear brakes and hydraulic handbrake bled. All internal wiring completed and installed. Engine loom fitted. All interior put back together. New panel made for wideband gauge and traction control pot. Then once she had built oil pressure she started like she had run yesterday. Finally got round to making the new engine loom for the chevette. This is the biggest and most involved loom I've ever done for the car. Almost every input and output had been used on the @dtafast S60PRO ecu. Just need to get it put on the car and then sort the power loom for the fuse/relay box and new switch panel. Race Report: Silverstone 16th March 2024 🏁 With the Megane not getting much of a look in leading up to the Race, As the Clio’s needed a lot of prep. It was not as completed as we first wanted for the opening round of the @brscc_hq Supersport Endurance Cup Never the less, She preformed well on her opening Race. Quali was interesting having not had time to test the car and get the geo dialed in. We made a few changes for the Race and the car felt more compliant. Unfortunately, on the warm up lap there has a strong smell of fuel. then the Red lights went out and it was GO...... I made up 4 places on the first lap and another 2 places on the second lap. Settling into the Race I could see fuel vapors coming from the filler cap on left hand corners. On the 6th lap I was challenging a MINI through Farm as he run wide I tucked up along side him and he just pulled across the racing line and fired me off. Damaging the front right lower arm and geo settings. I managed to recover and claw a couple of places back up in the next few laps. Trying to make it through to the 20 min pit lane open board, To pit the car to investigate the fuel leak. Having used half a tank in 20 mins, we clearly had a problem. Having pitting and having to be sat down after the stint due to the smell. We lost 10 mins in the pits but the team did a mega job getting the car fixed and back out. Graham Price did a mega job keeping P3 🥉in Class secure, then handed over to Matt Adams to bring the car home. Overall a great first weekend with a P3 Class Podium. Lots to work on and develop for the season but for a fresh build the car shows good pace and has potential. Roll on Snetterton in 3 weeks. So had the first outing in the beast :) It is well :) few issues to sort / upgrade. Diff seals, oil fittings, coilovers I think I need to go full track setup (the meisterr I have are more fast road I think) as felt ABIT soft had all the scrubby scrubs. Only bad issue was it overheating a few times and spitting it's coolant out everywhere 😂 Got a mishimoto rad but think the way it's mounted at the OEM angle and I have a intercooler Infront of it I'm not sure it's getting the airflow it needs so that needs addressing.
