Let’s talk about insecurities todayyyyy I am 35 and I can say that most of my life from high school to now I have have looked at myself in the mirror and found difficulty anchoring my self esteem. What I mean is we all feel beautiful on some days and off on others but for many others their baseline was self contentment. That was not the case for me. Also, after you have a baby body dysmorphia can get bad. It took about 2 years for my body to feel like mine again and for the mental fog to pass. I am still surprised every time someone compliments me. Like, I finally got to a place where I clearly saw my beauty and value but didn’t know how I was perceived by others. As the years pass and I’ve accepted flaws and leaned into my particular beauty, I notice laugh lines, under eye bags, forehead wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, beauty marks and misplaced weight (No grey hair yet but Im sure it’s coming) I sometimes wonder if this stage of life will lead me to a new set of insecurities to traverse OR is this the age where self acceptance and the IDGAF energy takes over as some of us knock on 40’s door 🚪🤷🏽♀️ What I do know is that It’s 2023 and I’m super excited about having another year to love on myself more and learn more about myself. I hope you love yourself even more than those around you, love you. ⬅️ (I hope that made sense)
