I can't believe this baby Punky Dunks of mine is 2 years old today! He's a grown up dog now, not a puppy anymore♥️. This sweet boy loves num nums, chewies, any ball, and of course, his hedgie. Playing with his sisters is the best time, especially right after a bath so he can get dirty again. I am so lucky to have him, especially over the past year after losing Dad. Duncan is always there for a cuddle and hug, giving kisses and a Pyr paw if I'm not listening. He also far prefers going anywhere with me to being left home alone, even if it means hanging out in the car for a while. Especially because trips to Starbucks for pup cups or to Cal Ranch for chewies are usually involved. And yes, we will be doing both of those things today. It's so important to purchase a lgd or farm/family guardian prospect from reputable lines from dogs with working behaviors, temperament, and soundness. Apple's family has been also great at providing her with training, guidance and handling for her to succeed as she matures. Update to me on Apple below from the Gannon family/Little Sunflower Farm..... She loves all of them and watches them each closely. We now have her sleeping in one of the barn stalls( which is heated for the colder nights)from sunset to sunrise until she gets older and she does not like being separated from her herd. Even though they are right there in the barn across from her. The barn cats keep her company when it’s bed time though lol. She enjoys them also. We’ve kept up taking her places like home depot and to the park weekly so she’s doing great riding in the car and walking with manners on her leash. Very smart and sweet girl! Hello Lana. I wanted to share this photo with you. I took this yesterday on the shores of Lake Superior in Upper Michigan. Lucciano navigated the slate shoreline with ease. He hiked the most difficult trails of the Porcupine Mountains with the grace of a gazelle. He is fearless, and goat like, jumping logs, traversing narrow creek bridges without hesitation. I just saw this posted this morning on our Prospect Canyon and Fisher Peak (neighboring canyon) Ranches page. I'm so grateful for my Pyrs. They have purpose. I haven't seen a bear on my property for 10+ years since having them. The one time I did have one it was bc I was on vacation and my mom had them ALL in kennels for the night. It took only 2 nights for a bear to figure out the Pyrs weren't patrolling to come around and destroy my kibble storage bin!
