I've needed to do some happy sewing the last couple days, and this little #scrapflowerquilt block from the #quiltsfromtildasstudio book did the trick. I enlarged the block to most effectively use 5" charm squares for the petals, and I think I slightly altered the design with a couple conversions where I failed to account for the seam allowance. I will just consider that my own personal touch. 😉 And I bought a couple sets of these vintage floral charm packs on Etsy, and I am a bit obsessed with them! I've started using them for another project too (where I actually shrunk the block instead of enlarging - what was I thinking!), but wanted to find a use for them where I wouldn't have to cut them up. I don't know why I haven't incorporated more vintage fabric into my sewing, since in most other facets of my life I prefer to get things secondhand (if not home/handmade). We'll see if I can incorporate more! And I'm trying to stay optimistic that our shared sense of humanity will prevail today.
