Always a pleasure to teach Reiki to a group of children. Lots of wise words coming from their mouth. After their individual Reiki initiation, one of them said ‘I feel happy & compassionate’, another one ‘I feel so calm’. At the end of each Reiki course, I give my students a questionnaire. This is the answer of a level 1 student. Part of the questions allow me to check that all students have integrated important words, techniques and concepts. The other questions offer them an opportunity to go within, to reflect on their purpose and personal goals and how they perceive themselves, the world, and Reiki. Along their training and relationship with Reiki, the way they perceive Reiki will change and evolve as they will themselves grow and transform. This is one of the many gifts of the System of Reiki. HOW DO YOU ANSWER TO LIFE? Do you answer to events and challenges from a place a peace and detachment, or do you leave too often your emotional reactions and your mind take over? Reiki teaches just to gently reprogram our brain and to become what I call 'the gentle observer'. When reactions arise, or when the same old story starts spinning again in our head, we are able to witness it, press the button 'stop'. We repeat the 5 Reiki Precepts, retrieve our power, and can decide calmly how we wish to answer. The methods I learnt to stop my emotional reactions and mental patterns to run my life have changed my life. THE REIKI PRINCIPLES, AUTHENTICITY & HUMILITY It is important to set a good example by being an authentic representative of Reiki energy. People cannot be so easily fooled by surface spirituality now. They want and need a real teacher who comes from experience and is working on her/his own deep healing. This requires one to meditate on the nature of Reiki energy and surrender to it. It is a continual process of working with all aspects of ones being that are out of step with Reiki energy and allowing those aspects to be healed by Reiki energy. We must seek to develop and express the qualities of love, compassion, wisdom, justice, cooperation, humility, persistence, kindness, courage, strength, and abundance as Reiki energy is all of these and more. It may seem paradoxical, but it is true that a true Reiki Master is one who is always becoming a Reiki Master. Like life itself, it is a process of continual growth. ~ William Lee Rand Great words and principles. I never call myself a 'healer' or a 'guru' and I teach my students why it is important to do the same. It can be easy to fall into the trap when one of your students or clients who was very sick is suddenly completely healed and cannot stop thanking you and telling what an amazing healer you are! Don't let your ego take over. Remember that it is Reiki which did the work, you are simply a perfect conduct, and your 'receiver' can also be gratified for making the choice to come and allow the shift to happen. There are many ways to still the mind and choose happiness. What is important is to choose a practice that becomes part of your daily life. Reiki has this quality. For me clearing and protecting my energy every morning (and as often as needed) and giving myself a short treatment is as natural as having a shower before getting dressed for the day. The Five Precepts are also always present in my mind and the part of me I call the "gentle observer' an amazing support. I keep repeating that everyone should learn Reiki level 1 and I wish that one ay it will be integrated in the school curriculum. The System of Reiki is a tool that will be with you all your life. Level 2 Reiki teaching today - what a beautiful day and a beautiful group of people ❤❤❤ We did a cacao ceremony to close the day and as a group set up this intentional centre piece and shared intentions for the group beyond today. Lots of practice time learning to do distance reiki, find and clear trapped emotions, entities and house clearing.
