Little professional-amateur Sunday night welding. Last part to fabricate for the #roxiecar fuel system redo.. a bracket to hold the lift pumps underbody. No pulse TIG. -------

Getting CLOSE on this poor damn #roxiecar. Made a fuel hose bulkhead fitting bracket, and she's all wired up.. just need to assemble the Vibrant Racing hoses and she'll be good to fire up. -----

More progress on the trunk surge tank for #roxiecar. Need to finalize location, then build a trunk firewall. --------

Finally have all the hard parts for the #roxiecar fuel system version 3.0, time to start making subassemblies, mounting brackets, a trunk firewall, and install. -------

Anything worth building.. is worth overbuilding. Time for the Nova fuel system version 3.0 for #roxiecar. This was the 4th time dropping the tank for some internal fuel pump gremlin, so I'm redoing from the ground up. Will keep the dual Holley Hydramats in the gas tank (already have) tee'd together to a single -8AN bulkhead outlet. Dual external lift pumps in parallel suctioning from the single gas tank outlet, then tee'd together to feed this Radium surge tank. The lift pumps have check valves, and will be redundant and selectable so only one is on at a time (so the backup pump never leaves me stranded). Dual TI Automotive (formally 'Walbro') 450lph high pressure pumps in the surge tank, likely wired to run at the same time. The surge tank also has a low-level float switch that activates when the fuel level drops below 3/4 height (total tank volume is 1.9L, or ~0.5gal), so I'll have a warning light go on the dash before the level ever drops close to 'too low'. Build updates to follow. ---------

Time to upgrade the 8-year-old fuel system on the hot pile of 50 year old #roxiecar Chevrolet. Just recently stopping making more than 20psi, somewhere in the tank, so will troubleshoot the existing Stealth 340 pumps individually. Doesn't matter, it'll be going back together as a lift-pump and surge-tank setup, with redundant low pressure pumps in the tank, and dual high pressure pumps in a trunk Radium surge tank, likely staged sequentially based off a boost reference input. -------

On the outside she doesn't look toooooo different, but can't quite say the same for underneath the orange sheetmetal haha.
