Today we are taking our sixth look at the Matherly family's journey from Dirt to Dream. The painting has begun and the tile is being prepped for the custom showers. The floors will be installed right after the painting is completed and then we will bring this dream into sharp focus. This piece of dirt has begun to reveal the custom home that they dreamed of. Their home will be 3,141 sq ft with be two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two separate garages, a one car and a two car garage with 1,355 sq feet of space. The rear covered porch is 638 sq ft with a large cook station. There are so many cool things in this house that I hesitate to give to many details as I know for me it is so much cooler when I see a completed home for the first time and have to pick out all of the details without knowing they are there before hand. Today we are taking a look at the completed dream home of the Dennison family. They did an outstanding job building their 2,776 sq ft home. With the 3 bedrooms dedicated to art work done by family members over the years. They have the flower, tree, and nature rooms. Each has artwork that was carved, painted, or drawn by a family member over the years. Of course that is not all that makes this a dream home. Today we are taking our sixth look at one of the most unique projects we have started this year and I am very excited to watch it's progress and to see how each of the steps is accomplished and even better what the Chapman family's dream home looks like. The large ICF block has finished and the foundation has been poured. I was surprised by the foundation being poured after the ICF walls were up. I went and asked one of our wonderful construction consultants and he informed me that the foundation is always poured after with a basement to make sure the basement stays dry. I am not ashamed to say that I learn something from these wonderful men every single day that I work here. This will clearly be a massive home and needs to be built on a solid foundation. The Everitt family's home is an empty nesters dream. It is a 2,100 sq ft it has an open floor plan with a large stone fireplace as the focal point in their home. The vaulted ceiling is covered in wood plank giving the home the feeling of being in a country home. The thing that really surprised me is the floors. The pad, plumbing, and forms are in and soon the slab will be poured. Would you look at that good red dirt. Seems we have and endless supply here in Oklahoma. Today we are checking out the Laizure family's journey from dirt to dream. Unlike many of our builds this one is being built in an established neighborhood instead of in the country. with 2,730 sq ft with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. They will have an office downstairs and 3 bedrooms upstairs. The master suite has an absolutely immense walk-in closet that connects to the laundry room. One of my favorite features is the freestanding tub that is in the wet room. Essentially you have a 7 by 7 custom tile shower in the same room as the deep soaker tub. It feels very spa like to me. This is only our first look and the slab is in and the framing is underway. Soon the roof will be on and then the real home will begin to take shape. The Hollowell family has begun to turn their patch of good Oklahoma red dirt into their dream home. They have dreamed of a 3,513 sq ft 4 bedroom and 3.5 bathrooms. Today we take our 5th look at the Stark home as they continue their journey from Dirt to Dream. The rough in and the spray foam is complete and the sheetrock has begun to be hung. This is the point where the home begins to appear and you don't have to picture it in your mind. Their dream home has 5 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms in a 2156 sq ft home. With an open floor plan the home has a large island, large pantry, and an electric fireplace. The master suite has a wet room that combines a freestanding tub and a custom shower. The walk-in closet is over 160 sq ft. The 2 car garage is good size and gives them a place to protect their cars from the hail that Oklahoma tends to enjoy. The rear covered porch gives them a great place to enjoy the cool spring days. As you can see the siding, windows, and roof are on and soon the mechanicals will begin. It won't be long until we are looking at the end of their journey and that is when we will see what they dreamed about besides the dimensions. Today we are taking a final look at the Sherwood's dream home. I have it on good authority that I took photos before Mr. Sherwood had even seen the house. This was almost entirely a product of Mrs. Sherwood's imagination and it was quite the dream. The 1,761 sq ft home has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. With quartz countertops, an upscale stove, and the herringbone backsplash the kitchen is lovely. One of the must haves was a large pantry, which has a magic door for passing groceries in from the garage. I love those. The large windows give great views and lots of light, She went with engineered wood floors, which are beautiful and tough. The master suite has a large bedroom, spacious walk-in closet, and a spa like bath. The freestanding tub has a large opaque window and the glassed in shower has a rain head as well as a wand. Today we are taking our fifth look at one of the most unique projects we have started this year and I am very excited to watch it's progress and to see how each of the steps is accomplished and even better what the Chapman family's dream home looks like. The large ICF block basement has finished and the 1st floor ICF block has begun to be shaped. This is different than other ICF Block homes I have seen. They are all similar, but this one has a larger plastic system to hold the rebar until the concrete is installed. Once the walls are formed the concrete will be added filling the blocks from bottom to the top. This is the foundation of this massive home and it is now clear why the footers had to be so large. This will clearly be a massive home and needs to be built on a solid foundation. Soon the ICF brick will begin to assembled. This is going to be a very fun home to watch being built. So what do you do when interest rates are high and your mortgage is half, but your home is just not working for your family as it grows? Have a large family, but don't want to build a massive home? Then do what the Thompson family is doing. They are building up instead of out, which saves you quite a bit of money. This is our seventh look at their journey from Dirt to Dream. They are building a 2026 sq ft home with 5 bedrooms and 3 baths. Instead of a garage they have gone with a carport that is almost 1200 sq ft and is under the attic. This enables them to use it as another covered porch for large family get togethers. Because along with the carport they have a 685 sq ft covered back porch that is connected. That gives them almost 2000 sq ft under roof, but outside for huge parties. It has an open floor plan with an office. The plumbing fixtures are being installed. I especially love the vanity made from an old sewing machine table. The tankless hot water heater is in as well. Today we are taking a look at a masterpiece. I call it that because it was built almost completely by him for his wife. The Day family dreamed of a 2,022 sq ft home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The entry way is filled with a beautiful brick fireplace. The kitchen has granite countertops tons of cabinets, and a gorgeous copper vent a hood. But the truly wonderful part for me is the Master suite. With a raised ceiling, built in desk, and LVP flooring the bedroom is wonderful. The master bath has a custom tile shower with a shower board, a heart shaped jet tub, and a huge walk-in closet. Both bathrooms have custom lighting that is Bluetooth enabled. The Carner family has begun the trim work and the cabinets are being installed in their dream home. Soon the cabinets will be complete and the painting can begin. I love my job because every client I meet has such a wonderful story about why they built what they built, but some stand out from the rest. This remodel is one of those. This home is not a family's dream home it is rather a man's dream to help American Veterans. As a combat veteran this touches my heart in a very special way. Mr Akindele has a sober living facility for veterans needing help to get back on their feet and into society. The 2 car garage is good size and gives them a place to protect their cars from the hail that Oklahoma tends to enjoy. The rear covered porch gives them a great place to enjoy the cool spring days. Today we are taking our third look at a truly unique home that has begun it's journey from Dirt to Dream. The Neylan family is building a dream home that is truly them. The first thing that stood out to me was that they had the concrete stained prior to being poured. That way if their stained concrete floors get scratched it will remain the same color. Today we take our fifth look at the journey from Dirt to Dream with the West family. The painting is underway and the trim work has begun. The home has begun to take shape. The large ICF block basement has begun and is progressing quickly. Once the walls are formed the concrete will be added filling the blocks from bottom to the top. He expanded the home even adding a mother-in-law suite. He spray foamed and put in energy efficient windows to insure she would have low energy bills. Today we will be taking our fourth look at the Everitt family's journey from Dirt to Dream! Their home will be a 2,396 sq ft 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom dream home. When last we looked at their dream home the sheet rock had begun to be installed. Now the painting is almost complete and the wooden ceiling is partially complete. The home is beginning to look like a home. There is the foundation, the bones, and now we are about to see what type of clothes, hair and makeup, which is how I think of the amenities. With a large bonus loft, a huge wide open floor plan with fireplace, and a 3 car garage. I can only guess what their dream looks like, but for now we can all look at the foot print of the home and dream our own dreams of what it may look like until we can see the finished dream for ourselves.
