Today, we wake up at 5:30 am to go to Santo António de Val de Poldros Trail. "This is an ecological-landscape trail, inserted in a valley and mountain topology, with minimum heights of 703 m and maximum of 1108 m of altitude. The plateau of Santo António de Val de Poldros is an area covered with gorse , broom , heather and gorse , interspersed with hay fields ( marshes ) and "cardenhas" ( typical dwellings of the brandas ) , once an authentic mountain village , full of life, excitement , partying and above all work with experiences more centered in the summer months ( May to September ) , as this is the main characteristic of the " brandas " . These paths were also traveled by the coal workers who, in the old days, went to the mountain, because only there they found the heather that produced coal of superior quality. The herds of donkeys that live there, freely, confirm the name of the lands: Val-de-Poldros, because even today the offspring of mares (donkeys) are “poldros” or “poldras” and not “potros”. Claro que quando ouvimos falar da Terra dos Hobbits onde só habita um homem não resistimos e fomos explorar! 😁 》 Subimos até uma altitude de 1200 metros e quando achávamos que estávamos mesmo perdidas vimos no fundo da paisagem um amontoado de casinhas em pedra 😯 》Tínhamos chegado a Vale de Poldros e parece mesmo um cenário típico dos filmes de "O Senhor dos Anéis"! 😍 ♡ Qual foi o sítio mais atípico e curioso que já visitaram? 🇬🇧 Who doesn't love atypical scenery?
