I don’t know about you, but I really hate it when I buy something online and at checkout, suddenly I’m hit with an unexpected, and sometimes extortionate, delivery charge. This is especially annoying when I’ve bought something due to a really competitive price, only to find out that after the delivery charge, it really isn’t a good deal after all. I just want to reassure my customers that at Say It With Brownies, we don’t do this. All brownie gift boxes are offered with FREE Tracked24 delivery.

Today I sent out lots of taster packs of brownies. I’m slowly working through this idea of a smaller pack size and I hope to be able to offer these on a more regular basis soon. The one with the ribbon was for collection by a lady who lives nearby, it looks very pretty 💙

I’m baking brownies this afternoon if anyone would like some for tomorrow’s post 🧑🍳 (I don’t normally work Sundays so thought I’d let you know!)
I’m really excited about this one! New ‘Flavour of the Month’ for April. Brownies with Popping Candy ✨ It took a bit of creativity to get this recipe to work. My first attempt of sprinkling popping candy over the brownies once they had cooled off didn’t work out. The poppy candy fizzed and popped, and that was the end of it! Attempt number two of setting the popping candy into some Dairy Milk has worked beautifully. I’m so pleased with the result. The brownies are rich and gooey and the topping of Dairy Milk chocolate is crisp to add some contrast, and then you get the fun of the candy popping. It’s not overwhelming, just a gently fizz. I’ve definitely enjoyed my breakfast today! These brownies will be available to order on my website throughout April. Give me a shout if you have any questions or special requests.

Ready to start work! I’ve begun with a delivery from Tesco, lots of boxes of Creme Eggs and Mini Eggs for the Easter brownies I’ll be making over the next couple of weeks. Today I have a few packs of brownies to slice, wrap to send out this morning. I like to get to the post office by about 10am to make sure the brownies are collected as early as possible. Then I have a few hours off to ride my horses. They really enjoy going out for a walk and it’s my downtime in the fresh air too. Hopefully it won’t rain today! Home for lunch and a shower. I’ll be back to work about 3pm, getting myself organised for the afternoon baking. Today I’m jumping on the World Book Day bandwagon 📖 You might wonder what that’s got to do with brownies? Most of the time while I’m baking or packing up brownies, I’ll be listening to an audio book through Audible. I absolutely love books and find that they’re even better when read to you by a talented actor. My AirPod earphones are really light and easy to use with my phone, and I don’t disturb anyone with loud audio coming from the brownie kitchen! I will read or listen to almost anything. My favourites are probably spy stories, by I tend to trawl through reviews for anything worth reading. Some recent favourites are The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro, The Bear Town series by Fredrick Backman, Shoe Dog by Phil Knight and anything at all by Taylor Jenkins Reid…. this list could go on and on! So happy World Book Day. I’m now going off into another world for an hour or two while I pack up lots of Mother’s Day orders 😊
