Happy World Ocean Day.🌍🌊🌍 Today is a good day to remind everyone of the major role the oceans have in our everyday lives. The oceans are the lungs of our planet, providing most of the oxygen we breathe. Today, as well as every other day, is a great day to inform those around you of the impact human actions have on the ocean, develop a worldwide movement of citizens for the ocean, and provide education on how you can do your part in ensuring the safety and longevity of our beautiful waters. They are a major source of food and medicine and a critical part of the biosphere. In the end, it is a day to celebrate together the beauty, the wealth and the promise of the ocean. What can you do to save our oceans? 1) Organize or join a beach/ocean clean up and clean up as much waste as you can. 2) Recycle. Not all plastics are recyclable and wind up in our oceans. Ensure you are doing your part in recycling properly. 3) Donate to local ocean conservancys or ocean clean up crews. A few of my favorites and ones I have worked closely with are @4ocean , @orcaconservancy & @savethewavescoalition . 4) Educate those around you about the importance of our oceans and why we must keep them safe and clean. I believe we can all make a difference in saving our precious waters. 🌍🌊🌍
