Friday Friends Appreciation Post! 🟡 I don’t deal well with winter time, on top of all the other crap in my life going on. Fortunately my buddy @svtoh3cobra re- sparked an old hobby interest! 👍🏼😉 And I thank him for that, I don’t have a big heated garage yet so being comfortable working on my car doesn’t happen. And I’m alone most my life since my job tends to have 6 hours of driving time in one day sometimes. Then if I don’t have my son, to come home to quiet house and just that down feeling. I can’t explain it unless someone understands. But anyways, yea if I didn’t get back into a diff hobby that’s a year round hobby. Not sure where my head would be now! Me and Greg def have had our disagreements and stuff. But working through things always makes connections stronger! He’s a good listener at times. And we see things very different at times which can be a really good thing! 2 heads are better than one! 😁 So thanks for being a friend. I think my favorite trip to get the car was obviously w my son! The first trip, black 93 Cobra was so fun! It wasn’t that far being in Delaware. It was first car I’ve been back in since my red 99 lex Sc! 😱 MANY MANY MANY YEARS . Haha Can’t even describe how good it felt to be in a manual car again! And as cheesy / boring some of the vids were. I’m so glad I filmed parts of the trip! Wish I did more in the 93! But also on that ride back, I was constantly thinking about how badass it would be if this was a terminator cobra. 🤫… So not too long after we were on a plane again, going to Ga! I found out later lots of COBRA folks said I was crazy for risking driving it all the way back! Anyway, they were right because it did randomly shut off on me on the Jersey Turnpike! (That story is funny) Just glad no one hit me on the dark highway 12 at night!🙈 So I’d prob say the DSG trip w my son was the best! But bringing back the blue cobra was epic! @ty_de_svt has been patiently waiting on his #sonicblueterminator to get finished, but while we wait on @stevenatorx and the machine shop to get the engine back together we also did some paint work, and today I thought maybe I should throw the front bumper cover on it since the last time Ty saw it, the bumper was tweaked and sagged along with the road debris chips in paint. No Filter! So, this was the “color” that ultimately made me “sell” the Mystichrome.. 🤷🏼♂️.. Sucks cause I like that color as a COLOR.. just not on my vehicle! It was nothing against the whole color change thing as I did LOVE the blue and purple combo! That’s what I wished it could stay on. But I found myself constantly wanting to take pics of it mostly blue..🥴.. hence the color of the next one! It’s also amazing how looking at these old pics and reminiscing.. whether I look at the 93, DSG, MYSTI, Sonic etc it hits you so fast with EVERYTHING! How I felt then, the air, my mood etc. It’s great! Sucks cause I still want to do another in near future.. and obviously it would be SB most likely. But there’s something about the DSG! In high school my dream car was always Supra in a deep grey, I would always say “pencil lead”. And the Mystichrome even!.. I mean if I EVER hit it big and was able to.. well, I’d give a lot of the money away for one thing. Albeit amazing due to its purple hue, I’ve always said that I don’t consider this color rare by any means due to its production number of 1052. but I have always considered it the hands down quintessential color for the terminator as these cars age. Mostly due to a lot of the early press stuff being in this color but mainly for me it was the infamous burnout done by scarpello with coletti riding shotgun at the 02 Chicago auto show that for me cemented this color into mustang history and my brain ever since. Welp, here it is. Still cleaning up a few things but she’s a gem overall. I’ve caught tons of flack over the years for having stock cars but I truly enjoy the terminator in all forms as I’ve had both bone stock and modded cobras. This coupe is a great blend with its H&R springs and borla exhaust as it’s only mods. I’m planning on adding chrome soon to really make the sonic blue pop some more, either in the form of the iconic chrome factory 03/04 wheels or ccw’s but that’s still to be determined.
