Enaya was given the opportunity to write for Young Rider’s magazine and share her journey to and at Sport Horse Nationals. As her mom I have watched this little girl grow due to the love of a horse and learn to be so capable. I wish we were the family that could say we bought her the finished horse instead we gave her the backup never jumped green horse. Hollywood would have you believe that is a dream the reality is with a green jumper you have to be the confident rider to make him feel confident to jump. Any mistake and you fall. Sara Kirby and Enaya made this happen. I think to all the times I had to close my eyes, the times she fell got up wiped her bloody nose and then said let me try that again. Last year taught us and made us grow in many ways. When I was bedridden with Covid I saw Enaya and Adriel step up and take care of our horses. Enaya would wrap and clean Thor’s wound through snow and wind by herself. When we were at SHN she was her own groom and cleaned and warmed up her horse on her own. Every min of this she has earned and fought hard for and I couldn’t be prouder. Plus my academia heart is in pure joy my 11 year old is already published lol.
