SOUNDTRACK POST 18 ✨ I did not know this! Until I started researching this song, I had no idea her label didn’t want her to release “Sweeter Than Fiction.” ✨ It’s interesting because not only did she have to fight to release this song in the fall of 2013, she had to fight with her label to release ‘1989’ which came out in 2014. Taylor has been very vocal that her label didn’t approve of the album name, the album cover, and the 100% pop sound instead of a pop/country blend with ‘1989.’ ✨ 📷 by Larry Busacca

This was a pretty lowkey single for Taylor, being released solely on the One Chance soundtrack a year after Taylor’s fourth album, Red, and charting most successfully in South Korea.
