A declaration of LOVE for our remarkable community as we reminisce about the unforgettable moments from our February event. We embarked on a remarkable journey to the Historic Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum (@jupiter_lighthouse), where the morning unfolded in a splendid fusion of history, exploration, and fellowship. Blessed with idyllic weather and native ambiance, we roamed the waterfront, ascended the 160-year-old Lighthouse, and rediscovered that “there is history in Florida before Disney and air conditioning.” Josh Liller, Historian, and Collections Manager for the Loxahatchee River Historical Society, guided us through captivating tales of Florida's past, offering a unique exploration into "what is native?" to Florida. ☕ Our morning was fueled by delectable coffee from @thechikmonk, complemented by our favorite breakfast mini bites from @bartnicksbagels, and sweet treats from @gringuita_cookies. @sweetsbymilka ignited our inner child through Mallow Art, using food coloring and sprinkles. 🌿 We also delved into the realm of native plants with a giveaway and information session led by @pbcerm, @palmbeachcountyfl, with insights from @benjistudtphoto (a former CMPB speaker), and @botanizingbirdingbutterflie. A big shoutout to our longstanding partner, Beighley, Myrick, Udell, Lynne + Zeichman, P.A., whose support ensures the prosperity of our events. Milka - Milk 🥛 plus A 🤍 • I went to school to become an IRS accountant 😳 YEP! I still love numbers today and it so happens that baking requires a LOT of it (I don’t like numbers while I bake- if someone can do the weighting for me... it would be so helpful) 😂😂👍 • I was attending a weekend program @floridainternationaluniversity while also taking night classes at the community college to learn about cakes (needed an escape) from corporate & business classes. • Long story- short... I felt in love with cakes, sugar flowers, fillings & decided I was going to quit corporate & go to Europe for baking school. (I went to baking school in Colorado & married my soulmate instead. 🥳) • Today, I will attempt to work on #marshmallow roses 🌹 I continue to challenge myself in the kitchen to keep my intuition alive... & to offer the BEST & most unique gifts that TASTE deliciously dreamy. • Chao... Cheezy S’more tortica de arroz 🌾 🇻🇪 • Honestly, I don’t know if this recipe came from my abuela 👵 Cande or my mom. I kind of remember my mom making them more... (who cares). They are called “torticas de arroz” • Got stale rice? Perfect! I upgraded the recipe by using #auntjemima mix, adding cheese 🧀 in the middle and topping it with more rice 🍚 pancake mix 🙌 • We learned 3 things: 1•We used our hands 🙌 for measuring... feeling the texture helped us relax. I involved Mateo and Kamila in an attempt to pass down the upgraded formula! (I wonder how they would make it when they get older) • 2 • adding cheese 🧀 was a delicious idea 💡 • 3• you don’t need syrup when you have fresh marshmallows 🤍🙌 • Be happy, be weird, be sweet 🤍
