The art room Sapa raises art supplies by motivating travelers to contribute by bringing the supplies during their trips to Sapa. We can coordinate the collection from hotels for larger quantities. While The Artroom of Sapa is currently in the planning stage, searching for an appropriate space, furniture, and gathering more art supplies, we are already accepting donations to prepare for our launch in 2024. This marks the early stages of my personal endeavor to establish an art room for the children and teenagers of Lao Chai village in Sapa. Currently, I am actively searching for a suitable rental space, preferably at no cost, along with the necessary furniture, basic materials, and art supplies to set up the room. Additionally, I aim to obtain the required permissions to operate this space as a free creative sanctuary for children to explore painting initially, while also seeking volunteers who can conduct art classes in the future. As part of my commitment, I will personally teach during each visit to the village. I am pleased to share that the first batch of art supplies has been generously sent through the assistance of participants from Malaysia who took part in the Vietnam Mountain Marathon held on September 22nd-23rd, 2023, in Sapa. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to @wmart.malaysia for their donation of art blocks, as well as to the participants of the mountain marathon who contributed crayons.
