“hold on, and you’ll see that we can be so strong for so long if you just keep holding on” | noah reid, the everything’s fine tour nyc, 11-04-2023 noah reid has been one of my favorite artists and performers since i watched schitt’s creek for the first time in 2020, and it was so cool getting to see him play his original music live!! noah talked a lot about each of the songs he played, along with some stories from his various times in nyc and some stuff about schitt’s creek, which made the show feel so much more personal, even in the fairly large space. there was so much love and gratitude in every moment of the show, and it so clearly meant as much to noah as it did to everyone in the audience. this was absolutely one of the most magical and beautiful concerts i went to this year, and i’m so happy i was able to be there :) noah, thank you so much for bringing the everything’s fine tour to nyc and for sharing your music with us!! i hope the rest of the tour goes well, and i’m already looking forward to the next time i’ll get to see you onstage, whenever that may be. videos, in order: • i miss writing songs • everyday • got you - the guitar riff in this song always makes me smile • hold on - my favorite of noah’s original songs, and somehow it’s even more beautiful live • a case of you (joni mitchell) - i was really hoping he’d play this cover and i was worried he wouldn’t, but he did at the start of the encore and i was so happy • what’s love got to do with it (tina turner) - noah knew what song we were all waiting for and he knew we were all expecting it when he talked about tina turner in the intro… and then he played this LOL (but also, it was fantastic) • simply the best (tina turner / schitt’s creek) - when i watched this episode of schitt’s creek for the first time in 2020, i didn’t think live music would ever be possible again, so hearing it live in nyc three years later was such a perfect full circle moment and a personal celebration of how much i’ve grown in the last three years. it was so special, and i will never forget it - thank you so much, noah reid :,) • #noahreid #theeverythingsfinetour #adlerhall
