It may look somewhat like this: 🌷2-3 days before the event, flowers will be picked up from wholesalers & local farmers. That same day flowers will be prepped. This includes unwrapping the bundles, cutting stems, changing out water & cleaning off leaves from the bottom half of the stems. 🌷Any arrangements that can sit in water will be made 2 days prior to the event. 🌷All the items that cannot stay in water like boutonnieres, corsages & flower crowns, will be made 1 day before the wedding. 🌷Everything will be wrapped with ribbon & prepared for travel the day before or morning of the wedding! 🌷On the day of the wedding at the venue, any on-site installations will be made. These are typically created shortly before the event begins depending on the venues rules and regulations. 🌷Garlands & bud vases for table centerpieces will be placed along with any other flowers needed for the big day! ✨Don't forget, we babysit the flowers the whole time. Veil or no veil? Honestly, it’s up to you. I LOVE a good veil moment (I mean, look at these two 🤩🤩) Veils allow us photogs an extra prop to play around with and incorporate into your photos. But veils can also be tedious to always readjust and carry around especially when it comes to heavy winds. My suggestion if you’re on the fence? Try on a veil with your gown to see if you like it - I’ve had many brides tell me they initially DIDN’T want a veil but changed their minds when they saw how the final look. ALSO: You can wear the veil for a portion of your wedding day! Maybe just for sunset photos or your ceremony, then switch off. These two were supposed to have their big Hawai’i wedding this month but life had its own plans. Thankfully I was able to capture their elopement photos last year 😁 We used the direct high noon sun to capture their glamorous yet funky photos along a cliffside beach. I love how A’s veil captures her beauty and frames their love. 🤍

Moving to a new place intrinsically means a change in style - we get inspiration in different ways depending on where we are and what we experience. Everyone says to stick to your style and hone in, but my style has always kind of been dependent on a lot of factors - feelings, depth, how my clients interact - and I’ve been a bit intimidated of how my work will evolve here in Texas. And for a good reason, it seems to mean something to more people than just me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Happiness doesn’t just fall in to your lap. Neither does success, recognition, money, or respect.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You have to fight through the mud before you get to the finish line. You have to actively try to make bounds and leaps of action to bring your goals to fruition.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You scroll through Instagram and you see curated feeds. I was just out of college and I had everything ready for a career I could no longer physically do. I didn’t have ten years to figure it out, I had ten months at most. So I did… and here we are—with a talented team too! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Running a business takes a resilient person. Even when things are good, it’s a constant wheel that relies on your strength to keep it moving. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So if you’re just starting out or you’re in the heart of the hustle— I just want you to remember what Elizabeth Gilbert said.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Because at the end of the day, the only person in the way of our happiness and success, is ourselves. My followers know that I’ll purchase flowers for the invitation flat lay on my own dime, and create them on my own time. This is not a selling point or something I even tell anyone because I don’t think it needs to be a “booking incentive”. It is simply a way I prefer to do my job. And not every invite needs floral anyway! We all have a way we do things that might be a little different, maybe even debatable.
