“I really should post more on ig” is a thought that often crosses my mind. There’s so much chatter here already, it’s overwhelming … unless I feel like I have something significant to share. Back in august I talked about how being a nomad is wonderful, and yet so hard and painful. But I had no idea how things would get even more complicated just a few months later. Today marks the one month anniversary of having my most important belongings and documents stolen, in a very unexpected, shocking way. I was on a certain path and puff💥! All of the sudden everything turned upside down and I’m now on a complete different route. As I take care of the logistics, my mind keeps wondering: Why did this happen? What’s the meaning of this experience? What’s the jewel in it for me? So many whys... But that’s not really what I want to talk about… my question for you is, have you been feeling a shift…? And getting closer to an event horizon of some sort? Do you ever feel like there’s something else, something much bigger in operation and even though our lives are fully ours, we are in this constant dance of having so much control and yet sometimes having no other option but surrendering and being completely at the affect of something that seems to be so much bigger? And possibly, way more intelligent? Some people call it God but doesn’t that feel way too simple to explain this complex operational system we live in? And by being a part of it, don’t we get full say as well? Or are we not yet ready to hold so much power? If you’ve made it all the way here and if you have been going through something challenging right now, all I can is: hang on tightly my love, it’s going to be an intense ride. I didn’t expect Москва́ to be so precious. Whimsical, lovely, adorable… all words that I didn’t think I would be using to describe my experience visiting Moscow. Too many times I get asked about my decision to leave my stable home & life in order to go from place to place, without a final destination in sight. “Your life is incredible.” “I love the way you live.” “Where are you going next?” All true statements, without a doubt. But wandering is by far the most challenging thing I have ever done. In a world where our eyes only see what social media wants us to see, where every experience has a filter, a smile, a pose, a quote… is the behind the scenes as pretty? Not having a home is hard. Not knowing where to go next is hard. Not having a support system close by is hard. Having to re-start every few months (if not multiple times during the same month!) is hard. Being alone is hard. Living off a suitcase for almost 3 years is hard. And then sometimes life even decides to turn things up a notch & increase the level of difficulty by throwing some especially hard curveballs. “Then why do you do it?” To expand. Today I decided to do something different. Maybe it has to do with the new astrological year, Sun in Aries, 0 degrees. A whole new year ahead of us, a whole new chapter. The Sun is going to pass through the 12 constellations, one by one, bringing all sorts of desires, insights and changes. Suddenly I feel inspired to share more of me and what goes on in my own personal world. Can’t help but to giggle, since I am a very private person, especially on social media. Maybe I am just being prompted to do something different, maybe it’s cosmic inspiration, maybe it won’t even last very long but today, that’s what I will do. I was in bed last night and I got to thinking about inspiration. What does it mean to be inspired? Is it an impulse? Does it come from somewhere else or is it ignited from within first and then it is manifested outward? Or is it a quiet voice inside that says - do this, it’s time, you are ready. And when this inspiration comes forth, how does it manifest? Excitement, passion, love, joy… and maybe a bit of fear (or a lot of it!) before we take a leap, before we do something that is out of our comfort zone? What I do know for sure is that feeling inspired is one of the best things there is in this human experience. Even if comes with a high dosage of fear, panic or whatever uncomfortable feeling, it takes us to a higher state of mind & heart and we feel - I am using this word loosely - connected. So this is what this is about… I feel inspired to write, to whoever is reading, or maybe it’s just for myself…? Whatever the case is, that’s what came up today and I wanted to honor it.
