Huddle is an FAW program aimed at girls aged 5-11yrs old to give them a fun and relaxed introduction into the world of football. The girls will have loads of fun using footballs without any pressure on the technical aspects of football and is a great introduction to start playing with a football and also making brand new friends. As their confidence grows they can either continue in Huddle or move into our Grassroots girls teams the choice is theirs, we just want them to continue having fun. 💙💛Rhos FC – U12 WGJFL Plate Winners💛💙 Huge congratulations to our under 12 team who were crowned the ‘West Glamorgan Junior Football League’ plate winners yesterday. The game was played at Briton Ferry’s Old Road Ground in bright sunshine and perfect footballing conditions. It was a dominant display from the team in blue who romped home 6-1 winners against Coedffranc. The coaches Dean Williams and Lucian Scutea have been working extremely hard with the team and results are showing on the pitch with them scoring a whopping 102 goals since November. What an absolute blast it has been this season coaching these girls along side Neil Richards ,Stephen Watkins and Richard Skinner. These girls have come so far in a season and we now have girls not just performing in the league and bossing games but pushing to get into FAW development centres and district School girls teams. It’s a sad day as they have played their last games of 7v7 format and we now look forward to league football next season and playing 9v9 so lots and lots to learn. We are incredibly proud of these girls and our parents who stick by the girls in all weathers and it very much feels like a family. We’ve also back end of this season embedded a few U10s in our games and training ready for their challenge as a new side in the U11s next season so we are really glad season has ended and we can regroup and recharge however equally excited at the season ahead and seeing all these girls kick on again. They beat 'AFC Pontardawe A' in the 'Neath and District Football League Division 2 Cup' which was played at Briton Ferry’s Old Road Ground. Last matches of the league season this morning and fair play the weather was lovely and these lads are something else. They won all three games only concede 1 goal but regardless of that they actually played football the right way. Out of possession they worked their socks off to win the ball back quickly and then in possession we played football the right way keeping it on the floor, playing through the lines, switching play and some of the passing and movement was exceptional which created loads of goal scoring opportunities which we fully capitalised on. Me and Dewi have had a blast coaching these boys and players who have stepped in on a Sat this season, it’s been absolutely fantastic to see them develop as footballers 🤩💙💛🤍 #upparhos

Amazing days football from out Rhos U11 girls teams today. We were spread over two venues Penyrheol and Ammanford and the girls achieved some cracking results with lots of goals and learnings for us. We achieved 2W 2D 3 L Penyrheol team 2D 2L Ammanford 2W 1 L Girls were awesome and are really developing into some cracking footballers and we are super proud of them all.
