Meet Gat Tholbok. A web developer and health professional by trade, Gat forged a career in Australia through his entrepreneurship and passion, having travelled from South Sudan to Melbourne when he was a young teenager. The son of an officer who made tremendous contributions to the independence of South Sudan, Gat carried his father’s legacy to become a passionate community leader and role model for other young men. We had the pleasure of photographing Gat earlier this year, and being reminded that we have a rich community of young people who have much to offer is always incredibly inspiring. Thank you, Gat.

Shannon says it all depends on the individual. "The reality is your portrait is about much more than your clothing - it's all about the face... clothing is just used to enhance the feeling in an image. I recommend wearing clothes that represent your style. If you're a casual person, don't wear a suit. If you're a hippie, wear things that exude that."
