The German automaker Volkswagen has now started accepting pre-orders for the upcoming SUV in India, Volkswagen Taigun. The compact SUV will be offered in five colour options: Curcuma Yellow, Cherry Red, Candy White, Reflex Silver, and Carbon Steel Grey. Volkswagen Taigun will come equipped with LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, LED tail lights, etc. The upcoming SUV will be offered with a 10.1-inch infotainment system, connected car tech, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated front seats, 8-inch digital instrument cluster, cruise control, automatic climate control, a single-pane sunroof, and ambient lighting. VW Taigun's engine options will include a 1.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine. The 1.0-litre unit belts out 113 bhp and 175 Nm of torque and will be offered with a choice between a six-speed manual gearbox and an automatic transmission. The 1.5-litre engine, on the other hand, generates 148 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. This one's transmission options will include a six-speed manual gearbox and a DSG automatic transmission. Passenger safety is taken care of by up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with rear view camera, electronic stability control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
