Photo of the day. 5th September. There are two types of people in the world when it comes to fuel gauges. “She’ll be right!” or “I’ve dipped below overflowing, I need to fuel up!” I am generally the second type, so after working my pelvic floor muscles with my full bladder trekking around Kmart the day before, I was working on a different part of the anatomy today. I was literally cutting cloth by the time I finally rolled toward the dazzling lights of the service station on the way home from Perth. This happy little orange light had been keeping me company for the better part of 15mins & my nerves were not handling it!!! 💩 I had a failed attempt at overtaking a slow car, where I didn’t give our big girl enough time to get the turbo singing & a truck peaked over a hill in the distance. Undecided whether to flaw it to try & get in front or admit an admirable defeat, first I gunned it before deciding the braking & falling back in option was better. Isla turned to me & said, “you know we can’t afford to use all that extra fuel Mum.” Yes Wombat. Thanks for the reminder!! 🙄 Just to add salt in the wound, after breathing a sigh of relief after putting $50 of fuel in (which barely filled quarter of the tank! 😨) we drove past 2 other servos in Williams who had cheaper fuel! DOH! 🤦♀️ Anyway. We got home in the end. And tristan is never allowed to be responsible for fuelling up my car again.
