#projectBlownXY has just had Stage1 of a @haltechecu #ic7dash upgrade by @ido12v and the owner of #projectBlownXY This all started over a phone call from a mate who was looking for a solution to keep an eye on some stats of his Procharger 840hp carby feed beast! Wideband o2 monitoring and a few temps was the first thoughts.... but knowing an update to the haltech ic7 dash is not to far away and with the little facts of the update we could see online this is now prewired for more than half a dozen pressure and temp sensors..... well I can say we have prewired all 34pins for the dash and this has the ability to add a list of features to stage 2 once The update has been released. To make sure this dash was looking its best a custom 3d design mount was drawn up and printed for a mock up fittment. A few minor tweaks to the design and the final custom bracket was printed and fitted. Keep an eye out for stage2 of this project and keep an eye out on the streets for this beast. #LS3 #6.2Lt in a #80series Now that's a good update for this old girl. To get this to engineering spec the pod filter needs to be in "box". So a #psico airbox was selected but the alarm, 30+ years of wiring add-ons & and a fusebox for the engine swap and the AC pump is in the way. So I was asked from a local shop to tackle the wiring aspect and lucky I did. This was inches away from a fire or cooking the motor due to lack of thermofans. This conversion wiring was very poorly done with only 1 thermo wired up🥵 and 2 on AC🙄. Unfused main power feeds and a mess of melted wiring. Stripped it out and a new fuse box with quality 50A relays were used.. wired up both thermos with engine temp and AC overrides them all the time to ensure this stays cool🥶. Added a obd2 plug to easily see what's going on. And removed a bunch of wiring ready for the new airbox to go in (after the AC pump is relocated). All ready to go back to the local shop for AC relocation and to fab up some intake pipes to marry it all up. Got a soft spot for the #4WD #GTiR #n14 #nissan #pulsars and this one was waiting patiently for its turn in the shed for a @ido12v #customwiringsolution consisting of #haltechecu package elite1500, pdm16 , #wideband o2, a #ic7dash & more than a handful of haltech duel pressure and temp sensors as this too is controlling a Water to Air intercooler system and associated hardware. Also wired battery in the boot with our special double insulated battery supaflex cables thats again supporting the electric power steer pump and vacuum pump to ensure no issues with brake booster is seen. Base map setup and was firing on all 4 after 10 min and a few minor fuel pressure adjustments. Keen to see this car hit the streets soon. @haltechecu #ic7 is one of the best upgrades you can do for a dash cluster. Its crazy the amount of customisations you can do. This 13Bturbo was wired up a while back for @central_autorepairs as its one of their fast parts getters😉 though the speed pickup was not mounted at the time... since its had a few custom upgrades and the speed pick up mounted (but was reading 492km/h when doing 60🤣) so returned this evening to setup a new dash layout, calibrate the oversized @garage48customs custom fuel cell to read on the dash as well as calibrate the speedo and gear position to now show what gear its in while driving as its a nice tight 6speed behind this #13bturbo. In 2020 lockdown #PLAN-D a #ford #xd with a #lsturboswap was wired up as part of a #youtube series by #haltech. In 2021 it was sold as a roller with the vision of starting again and in keeping with the Ford badge a new #barra combo to be refitted. This covid lockdown as seen some mini tubs a new diff/trans/motor fitted. Seeing the roller came with minimal body wiring @ido12v was asked and happy to help with this new build. A @haltechecu package that includes the #elite2500 with the #HALTECH "BARRA" pre-terminated harness with #ic7dash and #widebando2 were to be used. A few mods to the loom to suit a few added sensors with an upgraded #bosch map/iat and #boschmotorsport #dbw throttle body to be used. This also received the @ido12v #custommadebatterycables with fused main feed along with 2x 80A relays to power the rear #e85 pumps with a few extra fuses in the rear to feed the #trans cooler and rear mounted electric power steer pump. As the battery is in the rear and in a tight to get to spot some added panel mount jumper points were added as well as a rear mount isolation switch to complete the power circuit. Now fully fused and base map loaded its ready to go back to the owner to finish off the build all ready to turn key and go. Is #Marine wiring the same as #automotive wiring? Similar but generally marine or wiring subject to harsh environmental conditions should use A "tinned copper cable". What started out as a quick fix up for my brother in law... ended up being a full strip down and rewire due to the issues that were found with nothing working on the 12v side. Also everything on the boat was earthed to the hull..... this is a big No-No for Marine wiring. New Master control battery isolation New LED running/ancor lights New switch panel New Marine BT radio and speakers New Sounder (to help him catch a fish lol) New 50A.anderson plug (minkota ready) New LED lights strips for night time use New Charging circuit (outboard to battery) ALL NEW MARINE/TINNED AUSSIE COPPER CABLES And a generel tidy up of all bilge and bait tank hoses inc brading the fuel lines as I got a new batch of techflex braid in😉. Might not look like much.. Just a set of jumper leads? Well I made these leads in 1997 as a 1st year apprentice and would have cost at least half of my weeks pay back then but they were made correctly and from quality components. These would have jumped 100's of cars and made me more $$$ than the original investment. A few tips if you need to use jumper leads and how to use them correctly... 1. Positive connects first on the Good car 2. Connect Positive on the Flat car 3. Connect negative on the good car 4. Connect negative on the Flat car 5. DO NOT START THE GOOD CAR 6. Start the Flat car 7. Remove leads in the reverse order 8. Great upgrade for the CFO "wifey" with a Android Auto upgrade and integration of the rear view camera into the headunit as the factory mirror/screen was a little outdated and a little small... also fitted the mic up in the factory spot in the roof lining/centre reading lights. To gain access to the USB and to keep it all neat and tidy a dual USB out was flush fitted tucked away in the centre dash with one for Auto auto and the other to a AUX usb outlet behind the dash. #pioneer #aeropro #onlytakenmeayeartodothis #wiredbyido12v
