M O K H A • ☕️ it seems as though the northside has been popping off with new businesses and thankfully because that means I don’t have to travel far. located in griesbach is the new yemeni coffee house @mokha_coffee_house . right when you walk in, it feels like you were transported to the middle east with gorgeous archways and arabic scripture. it’s very open and spacious with 2 levels of seating. I first came here during their soft opening where they had a limited menu. I have been a couple of times since and got to try more of the drinks they offer along with desserts which weren’t available the first time. these pictures are over the course of 2 separate visits so thank you to @yeg.baking for being my hand model 😉 of course, we had to get the yemeni adani tea in a pot for the ✨aesthetics✨ and cuz it’s perfect for sharing. the second time, I opted for an iced caramel macchiato which I really liked. @subwaycanada Had to try the new chicken shawarma wrap at subway (side note: when not grabbing donairs I’m pretty loyal to subway). Won’t get this again! Shame on you @subwaycanada for even calling this a chicken shawarma wrap. Where’s the protein? Couldn’t taste the Tahini (ordered extra) or the meat. It was essentially a bland rice wrap *see picture. I’ll give it 1 🐻 because it wasn’t as offensive as the AC Pub or @pizzapalaceterwillegar and I’d still order this rice-party wrap over @primetimedonair any day. I saw a love theatre showing of the 3 Musketeers and at one point the character playing Guard 3 said “tsk tsk tsk gentlemen” after they shamefully started a brawl for the second consecutive night. In that theatre I immediately thought of this wrap and feel it deserves the same response. Tsk tsk subway! Shame. Spinach, jalapeños, green peppers, chicken, tahini, hot sauce, olives & onions should also be seen/enjoyed. Didn’t happen.
