@themixedgirlmeetup in FULL swing!!! This month we had our first ‘male perspective’ with poet @lukeeag sharing not only his talents but also giving us girls a small insight as to what it means to go through the world as a mixed race male navigating not only identity but also the stereotypes one has to deal with on the regular ... There were so many new faces this time and if it hadn’t been for @eventsbydrp I don’t think there would be any pictures as I was so wrapped up in the moment of bonding with all you new sisters that I totally forgot to take pics. I think that’s what I love most about MGM. We literally leave our phones alone for 2 hours (usually a tad more) and go back to oldskool honest and non-judgemental connecting with each other! Just as if you would’ve when you were at school, just this time around were all a lot wiser and treat each other with a lot more kindness. A big thank you also to @treasuretress for providing us with some amazing goodie bags for the ladies present, they were so happy about it!!! Truly appreciate your support!!!
