Lake Hillier was first discovered in 1802. It is located on Middle Island, off the coast of Western Australia. The enchanting bubblegum pink colour is presumed to be caused by Dunaliella Salina; a type of algae that is attracted to the lake because of its high salt content, it is about 10 TIMES saltier than the ocean! 👀😍
