At hen harrier day last week I wanted to meet the rescue bat that a colleague has been nursing. Today, I got that chance! I freaking love a bat š¦ they are so completely precious.
I took part in the @afocusonnatureās youth debate about the benefit of volunteering where I met a little girl who asked a question about how she could volunteer with wildlife. Later on, she came to find me on the RSPB stand and talked to me about how much she loves mud and Ospreys. Genuinely one of the highlights of my day, some of my favourite conversations are with passionate, wildlife loving kids. That, meeting this bat, and seeing a greenfinch being ringed.
One more day at Bird Fair and then one more week before I get some time off and I can leave hen harriers to one side just for a week.
