Good Morning from our little train room! 🚂 Last year was the first time we opted for Amtrak over flying. When he turned two his plane tickets became full price and he was no longer allowed to sit on my lap for takeoff, that added with all the other blah that is currently air travel had us looking at other options. When the idea was floated that I spend 20 hours on the train with my toddler for our summer trek to the grandparent’s cabin in New Mexico instead I said, let’s try it. Now it’s our preferred method of travel. Little loves it. We build train forts in our room, read, snack out, do crafts, watch shows, visit the dining car for meals, people watch in the lounge car, play games, and stare out the window and talk about the world outside as it goes by.
