As always, our Bamboo U participants surprise us with their ingenuity. During our August Bamboo U, Felix from Germany created this mini Bamboo aquaponics model at Scott's design and carpentry station. Before we knew it, it had been populated with wildlife and become a work of art.

There are as many solutions as there are problems, and aquaponics is a fantastic way to grow local produce wherever you are. Aquaponics translates literally as 'putting fish to work' (aquaculture= raising fish in a controlled environment, ponics= ' to work' in Latin)

Taking a sustainable building material- bamboo, and using it to create sustainable food production- aquaponics! This is where the future is at!
