We did the Insect Lore butterfly kit and today released 4 healthy butterflies 💗🦋 I wouldn’t, however, do the kit again... and would discourage anyone else. The caterpillars literally live in their own filth for the majority of their lives, in a tiny jar. I suppose you could take them out of the provided jar but it is recommend that you don’t. And then they have to jostle for space to form their chrysalides, two of ours fell from their hanging position whilst forming, knocked off by another caterpillar, leading to a deformed butterfly at the end. I euthanised the poor thing in the freezer. My kids learned a LOT, but, you can learn from YouTube without interfering with these creatures’ lives. We very lovingly looked after ours, we did everything right, but too easy to potentially neglect. Have you done this kit? 🤨💔 .
