Wellington City’s tagline is ‘Absolutely Positively Wellington’ and its lives up to this positiviely in more ways than one. It’s full of stunning tourist spots for sure, but it’s beauty lies in the ease that it provides to its inhabitants in their day to day life. The city is geared towards making cycling and physical activities easier. Traffic signals have buttons that when pressed turn the signals red and beep to allow visually challenged people to cross. There is a series of staircase that cuts through to the centre of the city, through lanes of houses. You would climb down 10 steps, look to your left and right to cross the road, and then climb down another 15 steps. This was the easiest way to commute we’d ever seen.
