When you tell people that you are going to hike 340 km they look at you like you are crazy. Not in a bad way (I hope) but in an "I don't understand you" kind of way.
They don't understand why anyone would choose to spend the next 5 months training. Or choose to get blisters so big that you start naming them. Or choose to sleep places that drop to 0° at night while soaring well above 30° during the day.
But I chose this. I chose to make this year about doing things I love. I chose to focus on health and adventure and determination.
Am I scared? Yes. But this crazy (in a good way, I hope) girl is made for mountains. And mountains are made for me. .
