Stormbringers. 5"x7" acrylic on canvas board. Heavy texture but not necessarily heavy subject. These landscapes often look bleak, barren, blasted to me, but that's not how I feel when I'm painting them - that's a joyful, flowing, expressive and expansive state ...... So why so dark? Er....... winter? Maybe. Be interesting to see if my palette changes in the spring - until then expect plenty of Umber! 😂
