This capture is a precursor to my last post.
We had unsuccessfully waited for close to an hour for a tigress to step out of a bamboo groove. The tigress had stayed put there hardly 5ft off the track. Realising she was not gonna step out in our presence and with the safari end time nearing, we left the spot and hurried a bit to cover the remaining distance. In the hurry, we nearly missed sighting this female leopard. Neither the forest guide nor our driver saw her. However, thanks to her glowing skin in the evening sun, I spotted her through the corner of my eye. We thus stopped and witnessed a glorious sighting.
She stayed put on her throne for sometime observing us and after few minutes stepped down to the cover of bushes (as you see in my previous post) before disappearing into the thicket.

Always keep your eyes and ears open all the time in a forest.
