This one ... this win was seriously so unreal!
This may not be my first contest story but it's the first one that's been picked for a contest shelf and I'm crazily excited that Episode chose this story for it.
That to me is so motivating to keep going and to keep doing my best.
Seriously I never ever imagined I'd win a place on this shelf.
Why?
Because I tried my hand at a comedy.
I'm not funny in the slightest, so I had to work so damn hard to do something I don't feel I'm good at. When I published I saw peoples screenshots and heard their feedback and I'm sat thinking 'are they really saying that about me?'
I'm not a humorous person, you can see that from my other stories, so to have this light hearted comedy gag cliche story on a shelf is just so overwhelming.
I love that I got picked for it, god I'm over the bloody moon, it's the kind of motivation you need to remember when you're having a bad day and this is the post I'II definitely come back to because it wasn't just a place on the shelf, to me it was so much more, so I'II be thankful until the end of time!
