Eight individuals have tragically lost their lives and over 5,800 people have been forced to flee their homes in the Russian-controlled territory in Southern Ukraine following the catastrophic collapse of the Kakhovka Dam on Tuesday, according to a statement made on Friday by Vladimir Saldo, the Russian-appointed chief of Ukraine's Kherson province.
