There's an excitement in discovering songs that haven't been discovered by so many people, therefore a part of my music taste goes for indie. Back in early 2000s, there were times when most of the songs on my playlist came from indie bands -- The Brandals, Sajama Cut, The Upstairs, Goodnight Electric, Santamonica, ten2five to name a few. Fast forward to 2 kids later, I no longer listened to them that often; some even dissapeared from my playlist. So it's a pleasant surprise when Hubby asked me to attend the 9th @musicgallery_, an annual (indie) music & arts festival held by @bsobandfebui, at #TenisIndoorSenayan & #PlazaBaratSenayan, last March 9th. At first, I hesitated to go because it's been too long since the last time I listened to this kinda music; I was worried I no longer related to the scene. However, seeing The Upstairs among the lineup was enough to convince me. So we went & here's some highligths: new-found favorite song: 'One Only' by @pamungkas and 'The Journey Starts Tonight' by @rumahsakitband. New-found favorite band: @elephantkind -- been obsessed with their songs -- 'I Believe In You', 'With Grace', 'Montage'. And FINALLY, I managed to see @theupstairs perform live! To my delight, they played my fave songs from them: 'Apakah Aku Ada di Mars... ', 'Disko Darurat', 'Dansa Akhir Pekan', 'Terekam (Tak Pernah Mati)'. Long story short, we had a blast!
