Fall garden mums may perennialize... or not. Help them along by providing excellent drainage when planting. If you have not had success in the past, try mulching your mums with several inches of straw or salt hay. Do not cut back the top of the plant. Remove the mulch in the spring. Prune the dried stems from the plant when you see new growth appear at the base. #fallmums #gardenmums
