In this two channel installation, Eleh performs four intergalactic characters in a parody of game shows like “Jeopardy!” that expose the language and aesthetics used by the alt-right to lure new recruits and spread their ideologies. The contestants experience unfair (dis)advantages and racist microaggressions, while responding to phrases, images, and memes sourced across digital platforms. The work simultaneously critiques structures that uphold white supremacy and gender norms, while engaging in ethnofuturist discourses to disrupt the very same structures.
Now on view as part of Rah Eleh’s Spoiled Milk through December 10.
