Fresno’s newest and hottest restaurant in town is a must try! I’ve tried other hotpot restaurants in other cities, and since this is a first for Fresno, I had to try it out. I went for lunch on a Friday and there was a 15 minute wait, but the bar was wide open so we had a seat at the bar. The staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations. We started with Taiwanese popcorn chicken and chicken skewers. They have an amazing sauce bar where you can choose from about 8 different sauces. This was an added bonus for me because I love trying different sauces. Moving on to the hot pots, our bartender recommended the J Pot and Hai De Pot. You get your choice of a meat, starch, and spice level (options shown on the menu pic of the J Pot) we chose “medium” for the J Pot, and “very spicy” for the Hai De Pot. I must say, I love spicy food, and “very spicy” is, as stated, very spicy! 😄 The hottest choice on the menu is J’s Crazy Spicy, but I was told they have an even spicier option that’s not on the menu. If someone tries it out, please let me know! Overall the Hai De Pot was my favorite. It was full of flavor and full of seafood.
