Beautiful and sweet tomatoes from Nagasaki prefecture that reminded me of the ones I used to get from my grandparents’ greenhouse in Gunma🍅
Those star tomatoes (like star emeralds) also reminded me that tomatoes are botanically fruits as they are so sweet. My brain didn’t expect its taste slightly similar to plums.
I usually make this tomato and onion salad in the summer but here is a recipe for these beauties 🍅
Dice an onion and a few tomatoes, add EV olive oil, sushi vinegar, herbs, salt and pepper to taste. Let it sit in the fridge for a few hours if your onions are too spicy.
I like putting them on toasted baguettes 🥖
