Too Young (After Jack Wagner)
is love ever going to die
‘cos i keep wondering why
we ever had to say goodbye
repeatedly we always say,
“i was too young,” always the same
we’ve said that alibi without shame
not the best excuse there is
nor the better one for us.
our youth was never an issue
our restlessness was never the case
stupidity is what others may call it
we just walk away not thinking a bit.
“too young”, we no longer are
yet, we’ve not learned so far
here we are again doin’ the same
mistake we’ve committed like a crime,
“too young” such a childish thing
a foolish way to keep running
from a love right from the start
aren’t we old and smart?
will this blame -game ever ends?
we’re probably even losing time
and its such a shame to even
lose each other again.
“too young” we no longer are.
