THE BEST TERRAIN ROLLER COASTER

The 2 major theme parks in Ohio are basically built on flat pieces of land, but at Kings Island, there are a few roller coasters that are able to use the surrounding valley to their advantage. And the best of the bunch is obviously the Beast. This is a massive wooden roller coaster, in fact, the longest roller coaster in the United States and the longest wooden coaster worldwide.
Even though the Beast is a terrain coaster, I feel it's more like an adventure coaster. Once you take that first drop, the coaster disappears into the forest until you are only briefly visible at the top of the second lift. For a good chunk of the ride, I wouldn’t call the layout breathtaking, but it's more about the experience than anything else. The ride follows the natural contours of the land, creating a sort of run through the woods. The best time to ride the beast is near park closing. When it gets dark outside, this roller coaster turns into a completely different animal.
